This is not actually true about the truck/orv routes. The limit is 72" and under.

I agree with Mark... 50" trails aren't very fun for the most part in an RZR. Some are slightly wider than others and more pleasurable "Mio" comes to mind.
I will also say that I've (knock on wood) never been stopped by the DNR for width, but I've personally seen the DNR check others for width. They use this gauge the folds out into a box exactly 50" wide and stands about 7-8 feet tall that your machine must pass through. If your machine contacts two points in the sides of the "box" at the same time you ARE considered over width and will be ticketed to the tune of $165.00 fine and possibly have your machine impounded.
