Automotive Solution’s recent adjustments to its used car inspection system can help streamline maintenance inspections and documentation.
This PDA-driven system makes it easy to document the history of every fleet vehicle inspection. Key information such as VIN, make/ model, mileage, etc., is keyed in, and then the program takes the operator through a series of inspection questions, which can now be customized. Vehicle inventory items (radios, flares and safety equipment, etc) can be added to the inspection report as well.
The program now also allows photo capture. Up to 10 photos can be added, right through the PDA. This can provide a handy reference for areas of concern and can provide a visible notation of vehicle condition for future reference.
The system is great for shops that want to go paperless, since everything is logged electronically and the reports are emailed back to you, said the company. This can help in filing and record keeping.
